Pastor Sheri Rohrer has been serving BGUMC since July of 2018. She comes to us with over 20 years experience in church leadership. She felt her call to ministry when she was 16 and has enjoyed serving the Lord since. Her passion is that people experience the love and grace of Jesus in their lives. Her desire is to connect the Church with the world and the world with the Church. She believes it is important for the Church to be in relationship with the community. She says, "The world looks at the Church to see what God is like. It's our job to show them love." Pastor Sheri loves the Church of Jesus and is also passionate about discipling God's people to become Christ-like leaders who have a heart for reaching others for Jesus.



Pastor Sheri is married to Robert Rohrer. Robert has been a strong support to her as well as vital leader in church ministry. Robert helps with some of the tech and sound needs for the church. He enjoys working with computers and video editing. Robert works in Carmel, IN in the IT department for Byrider Sales and Finance. Pastor Sheri and Robert have 3 adult daughters - all of which are currently or have previously attended Indiana Wesleyan University(IWU) in Marion, IN. Alisha, the oldest, lives Nome, AK and works as the Early Childhood Program Coordinator at the Norton Sound Hospital and is engaged to be married to her fiance Jeff. Their middle daughter, Bethany, is married and lives with her husband, Hunter, in Marion. She is due to graduate soon and plans on attending graduate school for a Masters in Social Work. Sarah, their youngest daughter, is in her second year at IWU, is studying Christian ministry and leadership and is active in campus ministries.



Pat has been the Office Administrator for BGUMC since April 2017. This position has taken her on many roads throughout the United States. She started her journey with BGUMC in 1962 when she married her husband Art. Her husband Art is a retired Marine and a member of the Marine Corps League. They have two children, Mark and Debbie. Mark lives in Weatherford, OK and Debbie still resides in Lafayette, IN. Pat has wears many other hats besides Office Administrator. She is involved with the UMW (United Methodist Women) and sing a joyful noise in to the Lord in the choir. She is also a member of the Lafayette Unit, Marine Corps League, and several other Veteran’s organizations.

“I love this job because I get to see the lovely Solid Start Daycare Children. I also get sweet gifts from them along with hugs and sounds of their songs as they come in to sing to Pastor Sheri and me. Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful church.”


Sherry was a member of Idaville, UMC since birth and a member of BGUMC since 1995. She taught and organized Kids Sunday School and Jr. Church. Sherry was called by God to found BGUMC Daycare Ministry in 2012. She has loved working with kids and have taught many young Christian women who now work in the daycare. Greg and Sherry have been married for 22 years and we have a daughter, Samantha. They enjoy traveling, fishing and boating and have taken many fun trips through America and Canada.

Susan and Bob rented a home in Battle Ground when we married in 1977 and then bought their first home in 1979 also in Battle Ground, as they love this community. They still live in that home they bought 40 years ago. Susan started visiting BGUMC in 1978 as Bob and Susan were soon to become parents. Bob began attending a few months later. Over time, they joined the choir. Susan has been Choir Director for 15 years.

Also over time, they searched for and found small groups where they can learn about Jesus and serve His people. Bible Studies, Vacation Bible School, Kids Club, Choir, playing keyboard for service, these are some of the areas of service that God has placed Susan.

For nearly three decades, Bible Study Fellowship has been a source of growth and spiritual transformation for Susan and Bob as they has seen first hand God’s hand changing people, especially her, through the systematic study and life application of His living, breathing Holy Bible.



Bob has been involved in many in many church activities the United Methodist Men, singing in a gospel quartet, helped with Bake Steak Supper, his job was the instant mashed potatoes maker. Bob has served on the Staff Pastor Relation committee and the trustees committee multiple times.

In the fall of 2001, Bob attended an event called the Great Banquet and it was there that he found an additional outreach for Christ. Through that ministry he was led to a mission called Kairos which is an outreach into the prison system in Indiana. He serves the Westville Correction Facility and have been blessed to be a witness to many inmates since 2007.

"Your church family is like your given family. You see babies born, go to their wedding, attend funerals of saints that you have served along side of for most of your life. You are a family in the truest meaning of the word. Your church is not there to serve you. You are at your church to serve."



Indiana based singer songwriter, Scott Greeson, is the contemporary worship leader at BGUMC. Scott and his band "Trouble With Monday" tour at fairs and festivals throughout the mid-west, featuring many of the songs from Scott's latest album "Riverside". As an experienced singer songwriter, Scott's songs have appeared in numerous documentary movies, commercials and Podcasts. Scott lives on a small farm with his wife, the multi-tallented, Vickie Maris. Vickie is a singer, writer, guitarist, author, accordionist and award winning animal trainer. Vickie also works for the University of Notre Dame's, Mendoza College of business, in South Bend Indiana. Scott loves leading the BGUMC worship team and believes that it is their mission to bring people togather in the sprit of worship.


Shirley has been attending BGUMC since 2002 and became a member shortly after. She has served as chairperson for the mission/evangelism committee for many of those years. Shirley loves being a part of our children's ministry as a teacher/helper. She retired after 29+ years from Fairfield Manufacturing known now as Dana. Shirley is a member of the BG Lion's Club and volunteers at Mental Health America as a Crisis Intervention Specialist and their "I'm Thumbody Special" school program. She has 2 granddaughters that she loves to spend time with. Shirley and her husband like classic cars and going to car shows.


Angie was Baptized at Battleground UMC 55 years ago and has been a member since. She is in her third term as President of the United Methodist Women at BGUMC. She works full time at Tate & Lyle as an EHS Tech. Angie volunteers with Food Finders and she is a United Way team representative. She has two granddaughters. In her free time, she loves to garden and raise chickens.
